Bungee Jumping

The Shivpuri bungee, two ways: the 50m normal jump, or a 49m free style jump you take your own way. Pick one, or do both.

Overview

This is the fixed-platform bungee at Shivpuri, off a cantilever platform designed and built by a team from the UK. The normal jump is 50 m (165 ft) with a free DSLR video. The free style jump is a touch lower at 49 m (160 ft) but you take it your own way, flipping or diving in a full-body harness, with a free drone video. You can also do both.

Before you go

Who can jump

Ages 12 and up. The normal jump takes 40 to 120 kg solo (tandem up to 180 kg with a harness); free style takes 40 to 100 kg. Meeting the age and weight does not guarantee you jump: the crew make the final call on the day based on your health and harness fit.

If you have a health condition

Heart conditions, high blood pressure, recent surgery, pregnancy, back or neck problems, or epilepsy can all rule a jump out. Tell us at booking and be honest with the crew on the day, it is their call.

Timings and weather

It runs daily roughly 10 AM to 9 PM, but weather, visibility and queues move the actual jump times, so keep some room in your day around it.

Season & weather

Jumps and rides run through most of the year, but heavy rain, high wind or unsafe river conditions can pause them for the day. If that happens your host reschedules you or arranges a refund, your safety comes before the slot.

Run with a licensed local team

This runs with a licensed local adventure operator with trained crew and proper, checked safety gear. Your BMR host sorts the booking, the timing and the day around you, so you just turn up ready.

Common questions

What's the difference between normal and free style?

The normal jump is 50 m (165 ft) with an ankle tie and a DSLR video. Free style is 49 m (160 ft) in a full-body harness, so you can flip and dive your own way, with a free drone video. Normal is Rs. 3,000, free style Rs. 2,500, and both together Rs. 4,000.

How high is it?

The normal jump is 50 m (about 165 ft) and free style is 49 m (about 160 ft), both at Shivpuri. It is not the 83 m jump run by a different operator, so if height matters, these are the honest numbers.

Who can't do it?

Ages 12 and up, roughly 40 to 120 kg for the normal jump and 40 to 100 kg for free style. Not suitable with a heart condition, high blood pressure, recent surgery, a back or neck problem, epilepsy, or if you are pregnant. The crew decide on the day.

Do I get a video?

Yes. The normal jump includes a free DSLR video, free style includes a free drone video.
