Cancellation Policy
No fine print, no fees that appear after the fact. Here’s exactly what happens if your plans change.
How refunds work
Everything you paid us comes back. No questions asked.
Half of everything you paid us comes back.
Your room and your host are already committed, and there isn't time to fill the slot again.
Booking with less than 3 days to go
If you book when your arrival is under 3 days away, that booking cannot be cancelled or refunded. Not later, and not from the start. At that notice we commit your room and your host the moment you pay, so there is nothing left for us to release if your plans change.
You’ll see this said again at checkout, before you pay, on any booking it applies to. We would rather lose the booking than have you find it out afterwards.
If we’re the ones cancelling
Weather and safety usually move an activity rather than end a trip. Your host can delay, swap or reroute something without asking first (the river, the weather and the road decide that, not us), and you are never charged extra when they do.
If we ever cancel your trip itself, the windows above don’t apply to you. Everything you paid us comes back, whatever the date, and we’ll help you re-plan if you still want to come.
Life happens. If you need to cancel for genuine reasons (illness, family emergency, flight delays), reach out to us on WhatsApp. We’re human too, and we’ll review your situation. Refunds take seven to ten business days as we work out what’s fair. We can’t promise a refund every time, but we promise to listen and help where we can.
Refund processing: refunds are credited back to your original payment method (Razorpay) within seven to ten business days after approval. The tiers above apply to whatever you actually paid us: your deposit on packages and retreats, or the full amount if you chose to pay in full. On a custom trip priced with your host, the tiers apply to the deposit you paid. One rule throughout: a percentage of what reached us, never a percentage of a number you were only quoted.
If you paid with a gift card: that part of your money comes back too, under the same tiers: as credit in your account, ready to spend on another trip, rather than to a card. A gift card is bought on the card of whoever gave it to you, and Razorpay can only send a refund back to the account that paid. So the credit returns to you, not to them. Anything you paid on your own card still comes back to your own card, as above.
