From Sunrise to Sacred Waters
Overview
The day that moves. Start with sunrise at Kunjapuri, drop into the Ganga for a rafting run, then climb into the hills to Neelkanth. Move from mountain air to white water, then into the sacred landscape above the town, and finish beside the river as the light goes.

Worth knowing before you book
- Rafting runs roughly September to June and pauses in the monsoon — if your dates fall in it, we tell you before you book.
- Operators set their own age, weight and health limits for rafting; they are checked at the river and are not negotiable.
- Wear quick-dry clothes and secure footwear; bring a change of clothes and a towel.
- Skip the water with heart, blood-pressure, back or neck concerns, or if pregnant.
