Where the evening
stops.
You do not have to believe anything to be moved by an aarti. This is the side of Rishikesh that people arrive sceptical about and go quiet during — bells at dusk on the Parmarth steps, a climb to a temple with the whole valley underneath it, a ghat where nothing is organised and everybody local is sitting anyway. None of it needs a ticket. Most of it needs somebody to tell you when to be there.
Spiritual in Rishikesh, item by item.
No extra booking, no separate ticket. Your host has it in hand before you land.
Sacred Ganga Dip at Freedom Ghat
A five-minute walk across Laxman Jhula from Sai Ghat to Freedom Ghat for the dip: bracing, humbling, unforgettable.
Ganga Aarti
Witness the spiritual heart of Rishikesh as the evening prayers illuminate the river. Your host knows exactly where to stand — close enough to feel the warmth of the flames.
Bhootnath Temple Visit
A quiet climb to the hilltop temple of Bhootnath, with the whole valley — river, bridges, rooftops — slowly unfolding below you.
Sunset & Evening Aarti at Sai Ghat
A gentler, more intimate aarti than the grand ceremonies — sunset colours on the water and bells carrying across the river.
Evening Kirtan
Devotional call-and-response chanting at MBT Guest House, Upper Tapovan — a warm, communal close to the day. Free to attend, a complimentary community event, not a paid BMR add-on.
Evening Ganga Aarti (at Sai Ghat)
The timeless fire ceremony by the river, witnessed calmly, away from the thickest crowds.
Ask and we do it
And the ones that are a day of their own
Not every trip has room for these. They are arranged around you when you want them.
- Neelkanth Mahadev — a drive up into the hills, not a walk across town
- A seat at the Parmarth aarti, and the walk down before the crowd arrives
- A quieter aarti at Sai Ghat, if the big one is not what you came for
Worth knowing before you book
It costs nothing, and that is not the hard part
The aarti runs every evening of the year and anybody can attend. What is worth having is somebody who knows when to leave, where to sit and when it genuinely starts — which moves with the season and is not posted anywhere. December to February the mornings on the ghats are genuinely cold, and they are also the quietest and the most beautiful.

Everything we sell with this in it
Trips that already include this.
Packages and retreats both. Somebody local takes you to it and handles the rest of the day around it — no separate booking, no second payment.
